How many Aldershots are there in the UK and why does every woman live there?

Just an observation while I have been browsing UK based profiles but there are be A LOT of women based in Aldershot. I've seen Aldershot West Midlands, Aldershot Cambridge, Aldershot Lanarkshire, Aldershot London, Aldershot Birmingham Aldershot Nottinghamshire, Aldershot Buckinghamshire
Now I'm pretty confident there are not this many Aldershots so is this a case of fake profiles or is it just people not willing reveal their real location? And if that the case how are you ever expected meet someone local?

This site is so frustrating

Top of the list of towns in alphabetic order....

Unfortunately only a very small percentage of the female membership the site claims to have are genuine women. It's never been proven but a sizeable number of the profiles are generated by the site to inflate the numbers, while many of them are also real scammers and blackmailers. The 'bots usually say something like 'I am seeking for my true love', or 'I am honest loving girl looking for my man', or some shite like that. And then you have the Catphishers......some of whom just seem to enjoy taking the piss.

Beware, just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get your hard earned dosh, as the saying goes.....

 Hahaha, same thing happens here in India too. They simply select the first town in the list and then you keep wondering why so many folks from such a town !!

 As Lindo has described, it's the default town selected when specifying your location, unless you manually choose one yourself from the list.

So for some throw-away profiles that aren't expected to live on the site for any length of time before they get blocked, they just use the default and you end up with an Aldershot in every English county.

It must be a pain for those genuinely living in Aldershot as a lot of members may think they haven't bothered to choose their correct location or assume the profile is fake/bot.
