My Beautiful Parts

My mind is stronger than my body,
My heart is softer than my flesh.
And yet...
My body is coveted and desired more...why?

The outside needs some work,
But looks pretty decent, sure.
But what about my core?
Why not desire that?

I am more than just a pretty vessel.
My thoughts, feelings,
Personality, wants, desires...
Are more beautiful than I'll ever look.

When I am wanted just for the outside,
It hurts me within my heart.
Because, honestly...
That's not even the best part of me.
