My search here has come to a close. For a while, anyway.... The Meat Market just doesn't appeal to me any longer. Picture it! It's Thursday morning and I hop online read a few blogs before work and respond the comments my own.... Over in the corner it says I have 4 new messages. Oh really! Four new messages?? Who could they be from?!? They came from a shirtless, muscle bound torso who was emphatically demanding I share my photo with him! Pic? Id like a pic please not going to fuck you without a pic PIC Well! Isn't he a CHARMING mother fucker!?! My first instinct was to tell him the off. Send my charming little email about how I wouldn't let him fuck me if he had the last penis earth.... After all, I don't really need a man get off when I want . Then I remembered.... I remembered a comment someone had left for me one time. He'd had a friend who would share pictures of her hysterectomy when guys were being douche bags like this. While I don't have hysterectomy scars... I do have the next best thing! I have this....  So, I sent it! I chuckled to myself, imagining the look on this asshole's face when he sees the image of Senator Stabenow staring back at him in her glory. I pictured an angry scoff while emphatically deleting the message thread, telling himself "what a cunt". Instead, I got this.... When can we meet? Really?????? That's when I knew.... My time here is done. I can no longer even half heartedly consider meeting someone from this site when this is the dating pool. When the only thing required is a pulse..... Because, the thing is... I require more than, just a pulse. I require someone who can carry on a conversation. I require someone who has a job. I require someone who can treat others with dignity and respect. I require someone who is not married or otherwise attached. It really isn't that much ask for.... Considering, these are the things willing give in return. And, certainly not going find that here. The days of the casual relationship are gone, now, afraid. I prefer be friends with my friends with benefits and not looking find myself stalked by a scorned wife or girlfriend.... |

Welcome to the other side! Finding true love or even just proper companionship on this site is akin to finding the golden ticket to Wonkas. Admittedly I have never been looking for that but I’ve seen enough over the past few decades. Taking a pause is good. The current online atmosphere is growing toxic. Hopefully the upcoming changes in the world will slowly filter down to all social media outlets and places like this. Gotta have Faith.

Unfortunately, it’s not surprising how easy it is to find those types of guys on here. Although, maybe you really have gotten him horned up with that pic ... maybe she really is his kind of thing ...  (are you guilty of, like, “fake news”?  )You know, the old ways of meeting someone, often through friends or family, both vetted that someone (to some degree, anyways) and imposed some implicit restrictions on how you could behave, because ... word might back to people you actually know.  However, in the mostly-anonymous, few-repercussions environment of sites here, some feel it’s perfectly OK to show off their asshat-ness for all to see (well, for some to see, at least, and then tell the rest of us about).With the continuing uncertainty about the virus because of underperforming vaccine rollouts in many countries, the non-zero possibility of these more-transmissible variants becoming common and those who just don’t seem to get it, the likelihood of the general situation improving enough to reasonably be able to meet in the not-so-distant future is not confidence-inspiring, at this point.  Put those things together, and it’s certainly not difficulty to see why the degree of willingness to tolerate the dumber shit, and shits, on here might have fallen right off the table. It takes some effort and energy to participate here, and if you have deal with this kind of moron too frequently, who would want to? So, if you’re not going to blog here, do we have to transition to a “community managed” character, so we can follow the (not entirely real) continuing adventures of the Spawn? No, seriously ... I’m asking ...  Well, I’m sure you’ll be missed if you do decide to shut it down here. Not by me, mind you, but by some folks [yeah, OK, that not-the-some-folks part might not have been true ... ]
